So -- I'm really not a huge fan of photo manipulations. I don't typically look at anything outside the traditional art mediums, but I have to say this is quite lovely.
First off, I did not recognize it to be a photo manipulation; I still don't know which parts came from where, and I really like that about this piece. It fooled me.
I secondly love the artist's choice in color -- it really adds to the overall mood of the image, giving it a foggy feel. It reminds me of those moments before you're ready to pass out when your surroundings become enveloped by a sort of looming green. (I don't know if it's that way for everyone, but I see green...) This piece is very thoughtfully put together and evokes a certain edginess (not only in subject matter). It's daring and free-spirited...enigmatic and whimsical. All in all a very BEAUTIFUL image to look at. Simple and intriguing.
